Human Rights Risk Assessment
Since 2024, BRODIE has supported a major US retailer to act on its human rights and responsible sourcing priorities.
Projects have included a HRIA of their own brand supply chain, and the creation of a bespoke risk-rating model to assess social risk of core commodities and sourcing countries. Recently, we conducted an in-depth analysis of risks to people and the business within their U.S. food and beverage supply chain.
This enabled the retailer to prioritise resources to effectively and efficiently act on key and emerging human rights risks.
Human Rights Impact Assessment
In 2024-25, BRODIE partnered with Oatly to deliver a comprehensive HRIA, to identify, assess and address human rights impacts across their value chain - from business activities to key commodity sourcing.
This work delivered a detailed human rights risk and saliency assessment, a regulatory alignment map, recommendations to strengthen Human Rights Policy, and a practical toolkit to support stakeholder engagement.
This enabled Oatly to lay the foundations for a stronger, more transparent approach to human rights across its global operations.
